How to Wash a Minky Blanket

For best results, we recommend machine washing before use to remove any loose fibers that may have remained from our sewing process.

Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle without fabric softener. Please do not iron, bleach, or dry clean your minky blanket.

We recommend using a gentle powder detergent, avoid pods or liquid detergents, as they can build up in the fibers and cause the minky to feel matted over time.

We recommend air drying your blanket. Once it’s completely dry, you can place it in the dryer on the “no heat” setting to restore its softness and fluff!

If needed, low heat is generally safe — but for the longest life and best texture, we recommend air drying followed by a quick fluff on the “no heat” dryer setting!

Wool dryer balls work wonderfully for fluffing your blankets and keeping them soft and cozy!
